TeachOntario:New book club session, webinar offerings

TeachOntario has released information about collaborative and learning opportunities – note you may have to register for TeachOntario to access them :

About a new book club session : TeachOntario is pleased to present the #BIT16 Reads Book Club in partnership with the Ontario School Library Association (OSLA) and facilitated by Alanna King (aking).

The Book Club centres around the theme of digital leadership. Each session will last four weeks beginning in June. Feel free to join the learning by registering for the book club, or clubs, of your choice (form to the right).

The Library has 4 of the 5 books being discussed:

  1. The Innovator’s Mindset: Empower Learning, Unleash Talent, and Lead a Culture of Creativity By George Couros
  2. Creating Thinking Classrooms By Garfield Gini-Newman and Roland Case
  3. How We Learn: The Surprising Truth About When, Where, and Why It Happens By Benedict Carey
  4. Building School 2.0: How to Create the Schools We Need By Chris Lehmann and Zac Chase [on order]

Webinars: Professional Learning Series: Join TeachOntario’s exemplary teachers from across the province as they share pedagogical knowledge and best practices in a free online, interactive professional learning webinar series.
