Today’s Globe and Mail included an op ed (p. A11) by Jessica Riddell (Associate Professor in the English Department at Bishop’s University) titled Get thee to a library; It’s more important than ever”   and writes a passionate article supporting the places and spaces that libraries are.

She writes: “Libraries are not static repositories of physical books. Rather, they are knowledge hubs where people of all ages can seek out opportunities, collaborate, create, and learn….Public libraries uphold values of inclusivity, social and cultural literacy, and equal access to knowledge – all key values of a vibrant and thriving democracy.”

Check it out! Rowan
